Maple Housing Limited has opened a South East Kent unit to provide 24-hour care and support to vulnerable mothers and their babies.
“Oaklands” is a 5 bedded specialist unit, established to provide a vital and much needed resource primarily but not exclusively to the South of England.
We will consider the referral of vulnerable mothers of any age and their babies up to the age of 2 years, who require care and support due to but not exclusively, any of the following issues:
- Mental Ill Health
- Learning Disability
- Substance Misuse
- Self harm issues
- Offending history
- Vulnerable expectant mothers
This list is not exhaustive and each referral will be considered on its own merit, considering current external agency involvement, and in agreement with the placing authority.
